Sanctuary was shot in the summer of 2019, a particularly conflicting time in my life. Conflicting because it marked the end of my childhood while also marking the end of the time in my hometown which I’d grown to dislike. This is my attempt to reconcile with the town, the new chapter approaching, and trying to find solace in the little things.
Shot entirely on medium format film, Sanctuary consists of 32 square format images shot over a 2 month period.
This is for anyone who finds it hard to simply call a place “home”.
